The Report... history, outlook, opportunities

Parents, Fans, and Coaches,

I hope this finds everyone doing well following a busy Memorial Day Weekend. If there are any veterans that may read this, we truly appreciate your service and thank you for everything.

This recap is going to be a little different than the typical recap of an event that I attended or highlighting standout players. This past week has been somewhat slow on the basketball front, so I figured this would be a good time to give you all a glimpse into what we have going on with the TN Report and more about the opportunities that lie ahead as we look to continue to build and expand this brand.

First, a look back...

Most of you all are familiar with the TN Report and what we do, but maybe not familiar with the history of the TN Report. I have been involved in the travel basketball game for over a decade now and have ran other media outlets for a few other companies that were geared towards girl's basketball directly. Those outlets had me running all over the country watching basketball from the east to the west coast. While at an event in California, it dawned on me that I had players in my own back yard that were better than the players that I was covering on the other side of the country. I decided to turn my focus to the relationships & talent here in Tennessee solely and created the TN Report. The TN Report is now entering its sixth year.

Where we are now...

I feel like the TN Report has been at the forefront of girls basketball coverage over the last five years. We have some of the top camps and tournaments in the country in the Best of the Best Camp, the JUCO jamboree, The Dynamix Hoopfest, and the Music City Hoopfest. We have provided maximum coverage at the scholastic and travel ball levels. While I do feel like the coverage and events have been good, I also think it all can be so much better. The many of you that may know me personally probably knew that I have also worked at a high school over the last nine years while also running this company the last five. Well, things have changed in the last month. I have decided to go full steam ahead and will be pursuing The TN Report full time. I feel the timing is right and I am excited for what lies ahead.

The outlook...

The immediate outlook on the girls basketball side looks like much of the same. I plan to be traveling the state for team camps during June. I plan to cover the Battle in the Boro at the end of June while gearing up for a big July schedule that will feature coverage of all of the major July evaluation period stops.

As you have probably seen recently, I have been doing more and more with the boys basketball side of things. My plan is to boost that coverage and get it up to par with the girls basketball side of things on the TN Report. We will be out at team camps across the state in June along with the BCAT team camp in the middle of June. The boys side of our high school events are booming with a lot of the top programs in the state in for this year's Hoopfest events. The Boys Best of the Best is taking shape and will take place on August 16th in Franklin. This camp will be MAJOR!

The TN Report will also be launching its football coverage starting this next month. We will have a big time announcement out within the next week about this coverage. Stay tuned for that!

We will also be launching the TN Report podcast very soon. The weekly podcast will consist of a little bit of everything across high school sports here in the state. This podcast will include coverage with players, coaches, and people in the sport community that listeners will enjoy. I feel the podcast will be a huge asset for sports coverage in the state and will be a weekly hub for fans to listen to.

Opportunities for players, fans, businesses, content creators...

If you've been paying attention, you probably notice that the wheels have been turning a lot more lately with the TN Report. There is a lot to be excited about with what we have going on and I am looking to add to our team.

We are looking for business partnerships and/or sponsorships. The TN Report is offering multiple opportunities for companies to sponsor events, website and social media advertising, as well as many other partnerships and opportunities. I would be glad to come and meet in person. Please feel free to contact me anytime.

The TN Report Insider has been a huge hit over the last month since its launch. You can subscribe to the Insider for $100/year. This is a great value and gives fans the opportunity to see the exact information that is sent out to college coaches. We have event recaps, player rankings, interviews and more. We will also be expanding the Insider coverage to football and boys basketball.

For players, we have created the TN Report Player Marketing & Membership. My goal with this is to provide players and parents the opportunity to receive the maximum exposure and promotion that they deserve. These athletes will be a primary focus in terms of getting their names in front of college coaches and media across the state. We offer multiple packages to suit you. You can find out more information at https://www.thetnreport.com/tnreport

I am also looking for writers, videographers, and photographers to cover events and games for the TN Report. Feel free to contact me anytime.
