Five games in nine days. It's been a busy but extremely fun first couple of weeks for the Gridiron Blitz crew. Thursday, we had a stop in Jackson for a Commissioner's Cup matchup with JCM and South Side. South Side had an early turnover on the goal line and then controlled the game the rest of the way winning 26-13. Friday night was the best game of the two with a battle of two Gibson county rivals. South Gibson and Milan went at it for all 4 quarters with offense at a premium until 2 minutes left in the game. That's when South Gibson took a 13-10 lead on a Jackson Young TD reception on a 4th and Goal. Then, just two plays later, Milan quarterback, Zak Summers found Cordarius Johnson for a 68 yard touchdown pass to put the Dawgs back on top. Johnson then picked off a pass to seal the victory and Milan winning 17-13.
