The new year is underway and so is a new phase of the high school basketball season, as teams enter district play across the state. The TN Report Coaches' Poll took a break during the holidays, but we are back in action! The return of the coaches' poll means the inevitable return of a few powerhouse programs that have been ranked all season, and the addition of several newcomers to the poll. Class A remained stable for the most part while AA, AAA, and Division II-A had the most movement. Greenfield and Loretto continue to hold true at the top of the Class A rankings. Nolensville High School enters the Class AA poll for the first time, as Macon County continues to stay atop the Class AA rankings. Brentwood and Whitehaven entered the TN Report Class AAA poll for the first time. Trinity Christian Academy makes its debut as the top seed in Division II-A and Ensworth continues to hold strong as the top team in Division II-A. Ensworth also holds a consensus top 15 ranking in all of the major national polls as well.
